The beauty of a roman blind window dressing is that you get to see the full splendor of the fabric pattern when they are down. The options of fabrics are endless; from funky, contemporary with contrasting statement colours as a trim or backing to the more traditional fabrics or the smart tailored stripe.
Roman blinds provide exceptional functionality and a practical alternative to curtains. They can be mounted inside or outside the window recess dependent on your window style, and are perfect if you don’t want to cover up wall space. Teamed with blackout material it will not only keep out the light but help to dull the noise from outside.
For a more rustic finish a Swedish blind may be a suitable and more cost effective option. Made more affordable as simple to make and using far less fabric than would be necessary for curtaining.
