Beaconsfield New Build

The Brief

We were contacted by our client when they purchased their new build home; the style of which varied vastly from their existing property in Cheshire.  We were commissioned to interior design the ground floor of their home following a formal presentation of ideas and scheme suggestions.  With our large supplier base we were able to source stunning bespoke pieces of furniture including dining table, console and coffee tables, alongside coordinating the fabrics and making of blinds, curtains and cushions to bring the scheme together.

Client feedback, the results

Our situation was that we moved to the Beaconsfield area, into a new build house from a 400 year old property in Cheshire. Virtually none of our previous furniture or soft furnishings were appropriate to our new situation, so we were faced with the rather daunting prospect of completely furnishing a very different style of property. James & Wallis provided us with an excellent interior design service for our kitchen/breakfast room and drawing room, as well as some soft furnishings to co-ordinate in other rooms.

We felt we knew what we did ‘not want’ more than what we ‘did want’ and so Caroline needed to present us with many ideas and suggestions before we could hone things down to possible concrete options. We felt she genuinely ‘listened’ to us and so presented combinations of furniture, particularly soft furnishings that appealed to our taste; she was competent and professional whilst still retaining a warm and enthusiastic approach. The results were stunning, practical as well as beautiful.
